This Page Has moved to... www.myangelmyhero.orgMy Angel My Hero's goal is to spread the message of Inspiration and Hope through entertainment. Through entertainment, we want to change the way we think, we believe and we live our lives. Our mission is to 'give life to stories'. We believe that every moment is a story, every story has a message, and we should give life to these stories through films and videos.
We believes that art has the power to positively impact all people in communities around the world, and we intend to do just that through our love of art. We hope you will join us by giving life to stories. In addition to raising awareness for Parkinson's, we are planning to expand our online video testimonial project to bring awareness towards autism, saving wild life and trees, domestic violence and visual impairment. If you like to get involve and donate some of your time please email us at [email protected]. We are very grateful to Podio's team to sponsor us for this amazing tool which will be helping our team of film makers, researchers and volunteers to collaborate and work together more efficiently. Thanks to Podio we keep work simple.
Special thanks to DeAndrea Woods and Chau Hoang from Orphans' Futures Alliance for introducing us to Podio and guiding us towards one of the best tool we have seen for Project Management and communication. |
My Angel My Hero (Film)"Our only hope is to find the beat that moves us," the narrator tells us in the heavy-handed but huge-hearted short film "My Angel, My Hero," which stars director Faizan Sheikh as a former banker who becomes a street dancer and unwittingly changes the life of a young man with Parkinson's disease (played by Dakim Wills). This short film focuses on the power of dance for people with Parkinson’s and has inspired an online video campaign.
This short movie has won and been nominated for numerous awards internationally and has also been selected and showcased in 17 film festivals worldwide, including South Africa, Kenya, India, Pakistan, USA, Canada and many more. My Angel My Hero has also started an online video awareness campaign against Parkinson's disease. Through this campaign we showcase video testimonials from People with Parkinson's on our website. This has been inspiring thousands around the globe. To watch all the video testimonial please visit our video testimonials library by Parkinson's patients. |
